Roles & Responsibilities
As a Software Engineering Intern at AutoRABIT, you will be embedded within a working engineering team and expected to contribute meaningfully from the outset. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of backend services built using Java and Spring Boot.
- Contributing to frontend development workflows using React.js.
- Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code that meets internal quality standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver structured solutions.
- Participating in code reviews and following best practices for version control using Git.
- Debugging, troubleshooting, and optimising application performance across services.
- Working with large datasets and contributing to data-driven features where applicable.
- Adhering to internal control processes and engineering governance standards at all times.
Eligibility Criteria
AutoRABIT has outlined the following eligibility requirements for this internship:
- Students pursuing or who have recently completed a BE / BTech / MTech / MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Final-year students and recent graduates are both eligible to apply.
- Candidates must be available for a full-time, 6-month internship beginning June 1, 2026.
Skills Required
On the technical side, candidates should possess basic to intermediate knowledge of Java and the Spring Framework, with Spring Boot being particularly relevant. Familiarity with React.js and modern frontend development concepts is expected, along with a working understanding of version control systems such as Git. Strong problem-solving ability, analytical thinking, and a solid grasp of software development fundamentals — including object-oriented programming and data structures — are essential.
Additionally, candidates with exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), AI/ML concepts, REST APIs, microservices architecture, or experience with large dataset processing will have a distinct advantage in the selection process.
What You Will Gain
This internship is structured to deliver professional value, not just academic credit. Over the 6-month period, interns will receive hands-on exposure to real-world engineering projects, direct mentorship from experienced software engineers, and practical familiarity with modern development tools and practices used at scale. High-performing interns will be formally considered for conversion to full-time roles at the conclusion of the programme, with compensation determined based on performance and merit.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates should apply through the official AutoRABIT careers portal. Ensure that your resume clearly highlights your technical skills — particularly in Java, Spring Boot, and React — along with any relevant academic projects, open-source contributions, or internship experience. Availability for the full 6-month period starting June 1, 2026 is a mandatory requirement and should be clearly indicated in your application.
